This book started off as a simple story about a young woman guiding young girls in the early 1900s in Africa...I really had it all planned.Then I started writing it and Graham reared his head. This wasn't a simple story and while the use of football(soccer) to inspire young girls in Africa, there was a lot more to that story. Lisbette was a bit shy at first. She didn't tell me the whole truth. But with lot of begging and pleading, Eyubea Girls was born.This is the FIRST in the series with the idea for the second book sitting in the back of my head while I take care of more immediate business. But until then, Eyubea Girls is on Pinterest! This particular board will give you a little bit of a behind-the-scenes look at some of the research I was doing as I was writing the book, including the inspiration for the independent township of Eyubea as well as Lisbette's wedding dress. This was a great historical. I loved the varied characters, and the growth of Lisbette. She truly matured from a child to a woman and found herself in the wild.
